A Running List of Everything New in the Hamptons This Summer
Montauk gets another members club; Sag Harbor, an invite-only bar; and Shelter Island, a martini and mahjong night.
Spring has sprung, which means it’s time to talk about what’s new in the Hamptons this summer.
The irony of the Hamptons is that it’s nearly impossible to build anything new, yet every summer brings massive turnover in the spaces that already exist. (Turns out, running a business that only has 15 peak summer weeks to make money isn’t easy.) The result: a fresh crop of openings out East every season.
This year is a mix of new players and familiar names expanding their footprint.
Below is everything worth knowing right now. I’ll keep updating as more intel comes in.
For what it’s worth, I have a strong feeling this summer is going to be one of our best yet. Winter was too brutal for it not to be.
