Anyone who has spent real time at the tip of Long Island will tell you about the moment you turn the corner on Route 27 and see the town and the glittering ocean spread out below. Especially when the sun is out, like it was this weekend, it feels like anything can (and will!) happen.
I just got back from Montauk, and let me tell you what I found.
